The three-part series, airing from Monday to Wednesday (February 17-19), tells the story of William Allen Jordan – a serial bigamist, sexual predator, and pathological liar. William Allen Jordan is an almost unbelievable character. For decades, he led a double, and often even triple, life, deceiving dozens of women worldwide. Posing as a CIA agent, he convinced his victims to fund his supposed missions. In reality, he used their money to weave more lies and destroy the lives of his partners. He has been repeatedly convicted, including for bigamy, financial fraud, sexual assault, and crimes against children. As Judge Thomas Corrie stated during one of his sentences: "You are a con man, a convicted pedophile, and a bigamist. You exploit the vulnerable, not just financially but also emotionally."
Mary Turner Thomson was one of Jordan's many victims. For six years, she lived under the impression that she was married to a CIA agent until an unexpected phone call revealed the horrifying truth. As she recalls in her book "The Bigamist": "I do not believe – and never have believed – that anyone is evil by nature. I think it is a product of our character and our experiences."
